Method to stimulate genius - Musetude

Picture

* Draws out the creative genius hardwired in your brain based on research by Dr. Paul MacLean
* Increasing whole brain activity based on research by Dr. Roger Sperry
* Increase flow, spontaneous creativity and energized focus based on psychologist Mihály Csíkszentmihályi

“It is a new method of Accelerated Learning, which can be applied to any field of work...I have personally experienced the speed, ease & enjoyment of learning through these videos, and know that they will create a revolution in music learning worldwide.” ~ Dr. Swati Piramal, Scientist and Director of Nicholas Piramal Ltd. (Pharmaceuticals), member of Prime Minister’s Scientific Advisory Council set up to transform India into a Knowledge Power.

Musetude's Brain-based approach to Learning:
"Music is a more potent instrument than any other for education”. ~ Plato

To help each person unlock their creative genius, music is one of the best tools. During the process of learning music with the right musetude, students will be able to apply this method of learning to all walks of their life.

Medical Science has discovered that reptiles, mammals , primates and humans, have been afforded increasingly better cognitive and emotional control abilities, in that order. The prefrontal cortex, which is most evolved in us humans had the most efficient emotional control, and intellectual functions, especially for executing novel, challenging, creative tasks. It is a known fact that higher creativity, focus, concentration, joy, playfulness, empathy, all higher intellectual functions – insight learning, foresight, spatial visualization skills and free will all belong to the prefrontal cortex. Most of us when faced with stress-full situations, tend to down-shift to sub-cortical cognitive and affective processing mechanisms. This maladaptive behavioural processing leads to unnecessary fears, aggression, mood swings etc, which hamper creative and intellectual reasoning in most of our activities.

Exposure to higher cognitive thinking and working along with higher affective control, over a sufficient amount of time, gradually helps up-shifting the cognitive gears, to the more efficient and progressive prefrontal mode. This directly reflects in every activity - from learning anything to creative ability, to better social skills, to much better emotional and physical health.

Musetude has been worked towards understanding how to help students find this cognitive ‘up-shift’ using -
  • Teaching experience of highly creative educators,
  • Current medical understanding of brain and behavior,
  • Cutting edge audio-visual teaching technology, to completely objectify and smoothen the teaching process

The result of training through this mode of education shows as an unbelievably remarkable jump in the students’ intelligence, creativity, capability, enthusiasm, focus and joy.

‘Up-shifting’ of Cognitive mechanisms:
Over the last decade of applying this teaching technology to education, Musetude has observed the following cognitive and affective changes in students.
1.    Fears replaced by enthusiasm
2.    Restrained introverted behavior replaced by outgoing extroverted behavior
3.    Increased focus and concentration for up to 7-8 hours at a stretch
4.    Increased grasping power
5.    Increase in quick insight learning rather than the slower procedural memory
6.    Increased holistic, synthetic perception
7.    Dramatic increase in ‘talent’ and ‘creative flow’
8.    Better affective (emotional) control
9.    Increased awe and curiosity
10.  Increased playfulness, sense of humor, cheerfulness
11.  Decreased anxieties and psychological complexes
12.  Increased spontaneous self healing from several ailments
13.  Increased altruistic behavior

Pattern of Changes observed after 15-20 hours of the Musetude Course

Musetude Teaching Methodology

  1. Unlock Creative genius – Each person has so much untapped genius potential. Musetude helps a person unlock their creative genius using spontaneous musical compositions, answering phrases at the same time tap into their logical brain with complex theoretical topics and co-ordination of both brain with co-ordination of both hands with strong flow and focus.
  2. Increase Positivity – Students get into a positive musetude singing and playing uplifting songs, laughter, writing worksheets, saying positive throughout the class like “I can do anything”, “I am a genius”.
  3. Flow and Celebration – Most emphasis is placed on the individual and less on the content. Once the individual is in a strong flowing and celebrating state they learn at high speeds. The Multimedia aids and live class maintain a sense of awe and playfulness which helps them get into a state of spontaneous joy, even rapture (4th brain) – a state of flow, when learning.
  4. Complex subject, Easy & Fun – Once an individual is in a 4th brain state learning at incredible speed is very easy as the 4th brain grabs patterns visually, is highly intuitive, creative and highly focused. The overall topic is explained before closing in on the step by step details which help the student grasp in a fast, easy and enjoyable way.
  5. Constant goals - Constantly the students are working towards goals which help channel the emotions of the 2nd brain and focus the logic of the 3rd brain which switches on the 4th brain in with energetic focus. Either they work towards a performance or participate in high exams. This also increases memory required for performance, creativity and focus.
  6. Standardization– Interactive multimedia aids help every individual learn 2-years of music in just 2-days irrespective of age, talent and the kind of learners visual, auditory and Kinesthetic.  Music learning in the right Musetude helps activate and further develop prefrontal cortex, auditory cortex, sensory cortex, visual cortex and many other vital areas in the brain.
  7. Spontaneous Creativity – Musetude helps spontaneous creativity using a game called answering phrases (impromptu musical answer to a musical question). This game helps students innovate on the spot and tap into the 4th brain – the brain of novelty and spontaneous creativity.
  8. Increase Intuition – At Musetude we encourage students to think about the topic before it is taught like “why do you think middle C is the given importance on a keyboard” etc. This helps the student to use their imagination and search for the answers, question.
  9. Creative Visualization– Musetude helps a person visualize and solve problems by using strong flow e.g. creating a composition on the 1st of class, designing a new chair or dealing with a family issue in a creative way. Our 4th brain will create revolutionary pathways to design, create and develop solutions if we learn to quieten the noise of the lower brains.
  10. Creative Imagination – Mirror Neurons in the brain can help a person copy-paste an attitude, steps in dancing, moves in basketball and playing music. Using mirror neurons in the brain our students learn Grade 8 songs in negligible amount of time.
  11. Learning at incredible speeds – Our students learn at incredible speeds irrespective of age, learning ability and talent as they learn to focus and their high energy (dopamine)  in the general education system are categorized as gifted and talented others as low achieving etc. Musetude teaches way faster than the average learning speed and so all can learn together without a worry from which category they originally belonged to.
  12. Music Therapy– Students learn to get rid of colds, coughs, headaches etc. simply by getting into a strong state of flow.. Most diseases are caused by stress, which can easily be released in a positive, creative atmosphere created by the class.
  13. Think BIG– A student who has learnt to access their creativity, intuition becomes a thinker and can apply this to every aspect of education, work and life.
  14. Holistic learning– Teaching a holistically the application of each musical requirement - Technicality, Musicality, Repertoire and Theory making a student an all-round capable musician and then concentrating on each part while looking at the overall picture
  15. Heightened focus – Students concentrate with energized focus for hours on end as by constantly switching between topics from creative subjects to logical ones to only listening to music, to listening to a talk, to looking at visuals, to playing, singing, etc – keeping the creative spark alive.
